Transforming Lives in Llano

Transforming Lives in Llano

In Brgy. 167 (Llano), Caloocan City, we continue to witness the long-term fruit of the Child Sponsorship Program (CSP) that began in our church more than two decades ago. The program was launched in 2004 through a partnership between Llano Christian Baptist Church and Kapatid Ministry, initially supporting 133 children. From the start, the vision was clear: to provide holistic ministry that would transform not only individual children but entire families and communities through the local church. Over the years, the impact has been unmistakable. Many of our sponsored children came from depressed communities marked by poverty and limited opportunities. Through consistent discipleship, education, and encouragement, their mindset shifted from hopelessness to hope. Today, several have already graduated, are supporting their families, and are serving their communities. The program has also brought spiritual transformation. Many sponsored children and their families did not initially have a relationship with the Lord. Through church-based activities and gospel encounters, several came to know Christ personally, were baptized, and are now faithfully serving. The very people who were once our mission field have become mission frontliners. Among the many stories, the journey of the Ferolino family remains one of the most powerful. In 2004, the family was struggling to provide for their five children. Mrs. Ferolino enrolled her two youngest boys, Jonathan and Jeremiah, in the CSP. Through continuous involvement, she came to know the Lord, was baptized, and became active in the church. Jeremiah graduated with a degree in Tourism Management, while Jonathan completed a degree in Business Administration and now serves at the Quezon City Jail. As we look at our progress, we believe we have reached about 60% of our original goals. With 19 sponsored children still under our care, we remain committed to walking with them toward transformation. To Him be all the glory for every life transformed and every story still unfolding.

Fruit grows where local churches remain present, partners walk alongside them, and God provides through His people.
