From Bereavement to Blessing

From Bereavement to Blessing

At Purok 4, Barangay San Jose in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga, we have seen God work in ways we did not expect when our feeding program first began. The ministry started after one of our church members lost their in-laws. During that difficult time, the family requested a Bible study, and after the initial visit, we continued following up with them. From that simple beginning, the Lord opened a wider opportunity for us to minister in their community. The feeding program has become a tremendous blessing to our area. What started as a way to provide physical food has grown into a ministry that offers spiritual nourishment. We now average 20 to 30 children and 12 to 16 adults, and I have personally witnessed how God uses this program to transform lives. People who first came for the meals are now returning because they are hungry for God’s Word. There are stories from this ministry that continually encourage us. One adult consistently asks for time off from work just to attend our Bible study—a clear sign of spiritual thirst and commitment. There is also a young person who willingly joins our Bible studies and worship services, eager to learn more about the Lord Jesus Christ. Looking at our progress, I believe we have reached about 50% of our original goal. The Feliciano family now regularly attend our Bible studies and worship services. Many of them still do not participate actively, and we ask for continued prayer for them. Even so, one of the greatest blessings we have seen is the opportunity to reach several other families for Christ. Through all of this, we give glory to God. The feeding program has become more than we imagined—touching hearts, opening homes, and allowing us to share the Gospel one family at a time.

Fruit grows where local churches remain present, partners walk alongside them, and God provides through His people.
