Business as Ministry

JRS frozen meat products started with a prayer. First, God touched Kapatid Ministry through the leadership of Ptr. Jr. and Sis. Beth. Second, God touched the heart of a couple in our church to provide two freezers. Third, we prayed for customers and thanked God for Jan’s Canteen, owned by Ptr. Jouie and Sis. Agnes, as our initial marketplace. We gave faithfully to God in tithes and offerings and established discipline in stewardship, paying for our own food. We shared the Word of God with our valued customers, and we always declared that for JRS, Jesus is our Resource and Supplier. We helped needy members of the church, maintained the quality of our products, and always gave thanks to God in small and big sales. Through the ups and downs, we stood firm in the Lord. “Dishonest scales are an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is His delight.” — Proverbs 11:1. We faced challenges—competitors, uncontrolled price changes, and limited supplier stocks—but we humbled ourselves before God and learned from our daily experiences.
