Emergency relief and rebuilding after Typhoon Uwan
Working with a local partner church, Kapatid supported 50 families in Catanduanes after Typhoon Uwan.
A field update from Jesus Christ the Lifegiver Church.

What happened
When Typhoon Uwan struck Catanduanes, Kapatid mobilized quickly through Jesus Christ the Lifegiver Church, led by Ptr. Jaime and Sis. Aimee Almonte. The response deployed emergency food packs, hygiene kits, clean water, and construction materials—corrugated sheets and lumber—to help rebuild damaged homes.
How Kapatid walked alongside
Kapatid assessed the impact with the local partner, prioritized the most vulnerable families, and reconciled the relief distribution.
An honest challenge
Reaching families quickly amid widespread destruction, and preparing to respond even faster to future calamities.
Pray for the 50 families recovering from the storm and for donors who will partner specifically for calamity assistance.
What happens next
Continue rebuilding homes and foster partnerships dedicated to rapid calamity response.
